Given that so many of my rants lately have been over bad restaurants and/or bad weather, I thought I would take the time to give credit to some good restaurants that I have been to lately. (That means that I will probably continue my rants about the weather…)
Last week, we went to lobster Wednesday at the Patricia Restaurant, on the water just off of Södermalm, with a group of friends. The Patricia boat was used to evacuate people on d-day and also served as a private yacht for Queen Elizabeth. Now it serves as a great party boat and restaurant. The lobster was fantastic and not expensive either. Check out the Patricia boat.
GI Boden is a health food cafe in Vasastan and I went there for lunch with MB recently. Both our meals were incredibly innovative and interesting and again, not expensive. Plus we felt like we were being good to ourselves. Here is some more about it in Swedish: GI Boden.
Restaurant number three was the cafe at the Moderna (Modern) museum. This is one of those places that has an exceptionally good view, so you usually figure that you will get dull food. But the Moderna always has tasty, fresh and interesting options, in both a traditional and more modern vein. And the view over the Baltic looking toward Standvägen and Djurgården is amazing. Check this out: Moderna.
